Sky Digi box, RF in > SCART out ?
Is it possible to go from RF IN > SCART with a Sky Digi box ?
ie. in this temporary situation I don't have an incoming signal from the Sky Dish, just RF IN
(or must you go RF IN > RF OUT ?)

I think if you take RF in you will have to use the RF out to get pictures on the TV. The scart sockets will only deliver the digital signal from the LNB to the TV. I take it you are saying no LNB is conected so, no digital picture, you may as well conect the RF to the RF input on the back ov the TV the digibox is of no use without a LNB conected

Basically I have the Sky signal coming in via the RF cable. I just need a "tuner" to send it out via SCART to my projector's S-VIDEO / IN
Would a VCR do the trick ?

Right when you say you only have a RF signal I thought you only had a normal TV areial and no dish. But if the dish is conected to the digibox with RF cable this will be ok but you sould used screened cable for this. Anyways my digibox has a S-Video out on the back I would just use this to the projector input you could use the scart output if you can get a Scart to S-Video lead

But if I use the SCART > S-VIDEO lead to connect my projector to the VCR, then it all goes wrong...
the projector has a problem finding the picture - it's black and white and stays on screen for a second before it says "Searching for source"
Is S-VIDEO ok to use ?

the issue seems to be with the SCART > S-VIDEO cable or the projector
