Will CURRYS come good ??
My Matsui 2Gb MP3 Player has a dead pixel ..... Currys 'Tech Guys' been to look at it about 1 hour ago. 2 Technicians arrive and cannot agree whether I should get a new screen.
They decide it's tough luck for me and, although the MP3Player is faulty, they will not rectify the fault.
I phone the MD at Currys, he arranges another visit (not him! ) this evening - but, he says in his letter, the MP3 Player has a 'PURITY' Fault but is within Manufacturing Spec.
Well, how would they feel if my Credit Card had a 'PURITY' Fault and only paid them what the Player was worth???? Hmmmmmm, I doubt they would be best pleased!!
Anyone been here before? Anyone know what the 'accepted' view is?
As I understood it - the faulty pixel tolerance only applied to PC Monitors and not MP3 Players.
It's one Pixel out of 500 - but, it is ruining my listening pleasure - does that count?
If they take it away do they leave another Player or am I lost for months while they replace the screen? Can I demand they take the Player when they have the panel ready to fit? Will it come back in a worse condition than it left me, and can I get them to sign to say it is perfect with no scratches on the case?
Interested in your views.
I'm sure John Lewis would treat me better - what do you think?
Or should I have not bought it from the bargain bucket reduced stock last day of the sales for a couple of quid ?

Sonic, I find it had to see how a faulty pixel is ruining your listening pleasure since you use your ears and not your eyes to listen mayber thats why they wont change it, now on the other hand if it was a TV that has a green ot appearing in the middle of someons face when watching it {but the sound was ok} then I could see the need for a replacement, however I doubt you will find anyone who has had this type of problem since it is very very very very very rare.

I am sure you must have seen Pete's thread though before you bought from Curry's. Perhaps you should mention Pete and his case to the MD-might put the fear of God into him!
