so they say its a fast growing business area and they want to create and access the taxable incomes !
The houses or properties will be for use only by prostitutes ????? so they are defining brothels as a distinct source of revenue for the government.

Sharp thinking there j4ckos mate. I'm sure your loss is their gain or is it the other way round?
Anyway onto the topic in question I'm amazed to hear it isn't legal already judging by the number of brothels in the country- upmarket and otherwise.

I honestly think that prostitution should be legal... it works here in the Netherlands.

I presume he means works by legalisation making prostitution safer for all those involved and attempting to remove it from the streets.

It does indeed. Mind you, it's still not a bed of roses, but the regular medical checks, the close bond between the police and the girls, can only be a good thing.
There's a book from John Irving, called "Untill I Find You". Gives a good insight into the "scene" in Amsterdam.

Prostitution in the strictest sense (having sex for money) is perfectly legal in the UK. What is not legal is all the stuff that goes along with it: pimping, soliciting, kerb-crawling, living off immoral earnings, running a brothel etc.
