Angry Windsor Lad Harvester - Windsor

Just had a meal here, got to be one of the worst ever!

Starter Nachos came with neat frozen salsa, and cold grease soaked tortillas..

Main Fillet Steak came as medium (ordered medium well) with cold side order.

Staff were openingly slagging off another guest in earshot of me.

NO TIP LEFT!

I don't pay for service like that - and legally you don't have to!!

As long as you leave your name and address there's nowt they can do!

No tip!! Ha Ha Ha!! Should have been NO PAY!! I have had free meals at Harvesters in the past ... ask for the manager, explain the problem, tell him to take another look at the bill and present a suitable one, each time he has waived the lot

I've been there for food in the past and didn't rate it. I was in there recently for beers though and it still wasn't great.

I can't believe a Harvester restaurant was anything less than fantastic.

From the luscious, verdant selection of green matter in the salad trough, the lovingly defrosted and reheated main meals, the fantastic pre-chilled sweet selection, the friendly, skilled, motivated waiting on team and the fantastic selection of extra cold lagers and bulk vat wines, Harvester upholds everything that's typical of the great British eaterie and reflects the tastes and imagination of it's clientele perfectly.

Next you will be complaining about TFI or Nandos, this must just have been a terrible aberration.

NO TIP LEFT,

Thats telling them !

Ask for the manager and tell them how **** the place is, loudly in front of other guests.

I did at the Exchange in the Trafford Centre, went in once, toilets were like poo armageddon, everywhere, I came out as I couldnt bear to stay and told the manager that the toilets were a disgrace and they should be shut down.

Made the mistake of going there again three years or so later, wife order Meta Load (why I dont know), solid frozen in the middle, mine was **** anyway, we had waited ages and drank our drinks, I went to the manager and said, our food is still frozen, so he took it away and re microwave the same one ffs, I went over and said we were leaving and I wouldnt be paying for any of it, he tried presenting me with a bill, so I said you can set security or whatever on me but I aint paying for frozen food and we left it at that.

I get really upset, its hard earnt the money for a meal and if its mediocre its a shame but I wont pay for ****, doesnt take much, a bit of pride, prehaps considering whether they would eat what they serve, I always make a point of saying how good something is if its been good and complain if it isnt rather than just accepting crap cos I dont want to embarass anyone.

Part of getting older I suppose, you turn into Victor Meldrew.

Tip, once you have complained, never eat anything served afterwards.

I think Frankie and Benny's has to the most consistently awful place I have eaten. Eat there out of choice the first time, complained, didn't pay and got a voucher for a free meal. Complained about the free meal. Been 3 times more with work outings (not my choice), everytime my meal went back. This is at 4 different F&B so it's not like it's a one off.

I'm not too keen on that attitude. Not trying to pick on you, but that is often how these places get away with it. They simply rely on people just paying up as its the company who is going to pay. These means they continue with their poor service.

Even when I was on company business I would never pay for something that was rubbish. I always checked my bill, so many hotels just stick on random extra charges in the hope that as they know you are an employee, you just won't check and pay up.

No need to thank me, maybe a good life lesson you can learn from this is that the easy option often turns out to be a steaming turd?

Or maybe you'll prefer to continue in ignorance?

I'll bet on the latter option.

I don't why people keep banning you mate, the above is spot on.

Well I assume things are still the same, I've only ever been in a Harvester once when they first started, and that was bad enough for me not to want to go back. When they had their stupid "have you ever eaten at a Harvester before?" adverts.
