Default £300 off a TV ! If you sign up to Virgin

Dunno how much of an offer this is.. I guess it depends where you live !

If you sign up for the 3 for £30 in Currys, Dixons or other shops in that chain you get £300 off any TV, including a flat screen 21 inch (I think) for £350!

Down side its a 24 month contract.. but if you live in a good area like I do, you get a top service !!

I dont work for sales btw and have no opinions if this is a good offer, just passin the info on!

Or shop around and get the right ISP you want.

Then shop around and get the TV elsewhere for £300 less in the 1st place.

Not saying it's necessarily a bad deal (look OK) however if you're already going for Virgin and need a new TV then go for it.

1 example for you all....

I have Virgin BB. They gave me an email account when I set it up, to which I told them I had no need for it as I have a company one.

My payments to them are by card each month, but I changed card numbers. BB gets cut off. I ring them on their premium rate number to ask what happening? They advise me I've not paid (In hindsight, their correct) I ask why they haven't written to me as although its my fault, I did honestly forget about them? We only use email sir..... (Wont go into about how I told them I wouldn't use their email...)

Then a little while ago, my Internet connection was, at best erratic. I emailed them at customer service to get a reply along the lines of "Well, your paying for a 2meg connection, but your line is only capable of .5meg"! I emailed back telling them I took the 2meg deal as they told me that was what my line could take and if it can't can they change my plan? No, you need to ring our premium rate number sir or reply to your emails. Of which we'll tell you the details IF you ring our premium rate number.

Steer clear!!!

Tell that to my sister in law whos modem after 9 months use is suddenly not registered with them and she can no longer get on line, Virgin say it'll cost 70+ to fix the problem, even though it's their modem. As she doesn't use the net much she's just going to wait the final 3 months of her contract and bin them, going back with BT/Sky etc. I'm not even going to start with the problems I had with them, I've already binned them and the BT service has been far superior, and I get Sky 1 again

hey not at all, I'll tell it like it is!

As I said I work for them and they have treated me well recently. If I can help people on here and save them losing a customer without breaking DPA I will. The deal was just something I thought was interesting.

As said if you wanted VM you might as well get a TV out of it !

I couldn't give 2 f**ks what they call me, if I didn't have to pay to hear it.

Appologies if they are a different company. But using the same name and being set up by the same people (IIRC) does imply their not.

Advice still stands.... Steer clear.

I'd say cancel and join up in wifes name.. but you might lose your spot on the Dp or the UBR and thus it wouldnt be the same connection

Same name totally different people... your talking about a copmany setup by Virgin

Cable was setup by Telewest/NTl and other smaller companie before them.. that used to offer a great service.
