Spider Deterant ?
DETTERENT!!
is such a thing available??
there is ALWAYS a bloody spider which thinks the outside cctv camera would be a cracking place to start making a web (30foot up a pole )
and to be honest, i`m getting sick of having to bring down the pole (its hinged) and cleaning the front of the housing away so we can see out the camera properly.
already thought about having some kind of frog cable tied to the box but somebody said that's not a good solution

We have an alarm sensor in our big old shed, every now and then it would set the house alarm off in the middle of the night... It took me a while to realise that it was being caused by spiders going across the sensor (I eventually caught one in the act!)
Someone at work told me that if you occasionally spray strong perfume around the sensor, it will put them off. I was dubious but tried it out (the wife had some Celine Dion perfume her grandma got her for christmas!), this was some months ago and the area around the sensor has remained clear of webs since. I guess this wouldn't work so well in an outside situation though...
