American PS3's vs UK
Seeing as i am in the US at the moment i have been in a couple of electrical shops looking for bits an bobs and i came across the ps3. I have been offered it at 500 dollars. So whats the differences between the two ? Would it be worth it at 250quid ? Its the 60gb version. Thanks.

It's a small saving so for the hassle I'd not say it's worth it.
PS3 just need a new lead AFAIK to work in the Uk. Not sure about playing Blu-Ray films though with regards to region coding. I expect google is your friend here.

I'm going to go for a US one purely because the choice of Blu Ray films is better and cheaper out there. Games are region free although UK DVD's and PS2 games won't work on a US PS3.

Apart from the power, the only difference is that the US models have hardware backwards compatability, the UK's are done by software.
