Default What bikes did you have as a kid

Me, I had:
Raleigh Jeep
Raleigh Arena (Blue)
Raleigh Record Sprint
Always wanted the red Raleigh that mirrored the Tour de France Raleighs. Was it the Rapide?

Raleigh Commando - 3 gears which could be changed via the handgrip
Generic BMX - cheap bike compared to all my mates who had Mongoose etc but it was suprisingly light
Raleigh - 12spd race bike

that's it

SPOILT KID ALERT!!!

Much less flashy stuff for me - Haro BMX, non branded MTB, Muddy Fox Courier - each lasted me ages.

Got my first "proper" bike aged 22!

Velo Schauff (German made 5-speed BMX/MTB hybrid back in 1981 or so)
Raleigh Winner (10-speed racer)
Raleigh Memphis MTB (got stolen by a smack head )
Weird blue racer I built myself from scrounged parts.
Weird gold racer I built from a scrounged frame and the parts from weird blue racer after I snapped the frame in a massive crash, also breaking arm.
Marin Muirwoods
Orange (a full suspension one, but I forget which)
Another home built thing I made out of a Saracen MTB frame, Mavic wheelset, and full XT groupset.
Specialized Allez Comp 2006 Team Gerolsteiner.

Mum wouldn't buy me a bike - she bought me a pram instead. Then she hit the roof when she caught me with doll turfed out and using the pram as a go-kart!

My Dad gave me my first bike for my fourth Christmas and boy was I pleased? It took me 2 years to realise it was my Sister's old bike that he'd resprayed in the firm's bodyshop. Raleigh Commando next; what a machine?!
