...don't, for the love of God, make a sequel to Transformers.

That has to be the worst film I have ever sat through.

I completely agree. I saw it today for the first time and found it to be so corny and just a boring **** story. So obvious what was going to happen too. They ruined something that had the potential to be awesome

two good things though, the graphics were great and the bird in the film

Why does Megatron shout "I AM MEGATRON" when he is thawed from the ice?

Did he want us to remember his name? Also, if he'd been frozen since before the dawn of man, how did he know he'd end up in an English speaking country?

BuRR - he spoke in English as it's an American film, like all those war films where the germans, russians, rag heads etc. all speak english.

If you want to see a bad film see Die hard 4! That is the worst film EVER.

Which, rumour has is, are not being directed by Michael Bay. This means there is a fair to middling chance that the swquels will actually be ok

I saw it at the weekend. I enjoyed it for the most part, but the ending dragged on and on... Special effects were really good and I think it might have been better at the cinema, but I couldn't wait for it to end!

Shame cos I was really looking forward to seeing it.

Well, its sort of a sequel as the first "film" was really just a long cartoon.

Still, at least there was that nice yellow car to look at, the only think that stopped me from turning it off *sigh* So so so many plot holes. Ah well.

I thought they made a ***** up filming the live action parts - looks like they didnt appreciate how big the robts were going to be on screen so half of them were missing during some of the fight scenes which made it a little difficult to follow some of the action.

I enjoyed it too - gutted Paramount have kicked us Blu-Ray owners in the nuts, should be great in HD - watching films in cinema's is over-rated these days.

Well I thought it was fantastic and thoroughly enjoyed it !
But then again I wasn't expecting a Citizen Kane script ; I was expecting a load of CG action set pieces linked together by an uncomplicated story that could be followed easily by children, which is exactly what the film is. If you try and read anything more into it than that, then you deserve to be disappointed !!

Which is all well and good, if it was a storyline that even Children could't rip apart. Unfortunately, they could. My 12 year old was sitting next to me in the Cinema, whispering to me asking how on Earth, the "hiding" transformers didnt reveal thier presence to the guys parents on account of making the Earth shake every time they moved.

I'm a big TF fan and I have to say I didn't like it either. I'll watch it and I'll probably get the DVD but I thought Bay did an appaling job.

I thought Die Hard 4 was better and I actually liked that. It doesn't try to be anything but a silly 2 hour action film. TF was made for the biggest audience - kids. Sod the adults who bought and paid for the franchise to be what it is now (I have 24 TFs worth over a grand)

The humans saved the day. The Decepticons were no more than cannon fodder and the Autobots were portrayed as a bunch of losers (Prime comes across like Archer in Small Soldiers)

OK, Michael Bay didn't write the script (Why fight in a bloody city I ask you) but he made a mess of the direction. Every time a fight broke out, he directs the camera on to a human which is pointless. The Stacey Slater girl was a waste of time.

They couldn't even be arsed to correct Devastators name to Brawl. Not that it made much difference as he said nothing and got a killed by the humans.

And Michael Bay / Steven Spielberg had to have their "Jar Jar Binks" character in Frenzy which lowered the tone even further.

If you read, get the graphic novels. Much better and darker. You won't see Megatron stomping on Humans like bugs in the films

Oh, and to make Luminous happy, TF2 is scheduled for an 09 release with Bay at the helm and TF3 is all but assured.

Mind you, Spiderman has a go for a further 3 films.

It should have come as no surprise - Michael Bay is without question the worst Hollywood Director in the history of everything. He has never made a good film, and gets let loose of one of the biggest franchises out there

Bad Boys and the Rock were good imo.
Not good news as it looks like he's doing a Friday the 13th project and The Birds (not sure if it's a remake of hitchcock though)

Thought Michael Bay had said he's not doing another sequel again (after Bad Boys 2).

Despite the films being a bit ropey they usually have good visual style - even Pearl Harbor...

Transformers could have been worse, Speilberg could have directed it...

The parents thought there was an earthquake going on which could explain it. Although a 60 foot robot hiding behind a tree does call for a small amount of disbelief suspension !
