So what did you think of the MG Z's on Top Gear tonight ??

MG ZR (Rover 25) Nahh !!!
MG ZS (Rover 45) Mmmm Maybe !!!
MG ZT (Rover 75) No way, the size of Berkshire that thing ...

The spoiler on that MG ZS looks remarkably like the P1 spoiler me thinks. Where Scoobs lead others follow..

Good to see that a British Sports car, the TVR Tuscan makings it's holywood movie debut and getting the thumbs up from Mr Snake Hips himself (J.T)

Cool

the tvr was the best thing on the show. simply beautiful. how much do they cost?
as for the rovers, the 45 looked like a scooby copy minus foglights. the names are confusing too, zt zs etc.
i thought the 75 looked pretty good .
would i buy one. no ,theyre a rover, sorry, but they just dont spin my props, for all their fancy bodykits.
if you want something that looks like a scooby, buy a scooby
back to lurking now

The spoilers probaly look the same because they are styled by the same person, Peter Stevens

and check out the spoilers that are on their 500bhp monster 75 and the UK300

Top Gear - Pah as usual dissapointing - Not interested in the ZR or ZS MGs tarted up old cars. The ZT looked ok, but underpowered, now a £33k 375bhp RWD model is of much more interest. Still wouldn't buy one!
Jap bit was dull, from the trailer last week I was hoping to hear about Jap supercars, only the supra was of interest but that was very badly covered...

Tuscan was lovely, and if it had 4 seats I would be saving now (not as keen on the Cerbera though)

Call 'em what you want, but they are still Rover's at the end of the day. Had an appalling ownership experience of the 620ti. First one had so many faults I got an exchange, but even this was a pile of poo. Luckily [for me] somebody nicked the second one. Would I buy another. No way Jose!!!

Steve P, I also saw the program on the mini (well the last 20 minutes) and I can feel a second car to the Scooby coming on. Looks like it could be good fun to chuck around but for a lot less fuel. Probably a bit slow though.

Happy with MY00? Yes. Getting a MY01 on Wednesday? Yes. Would I rather have a ROVER? No! IMHO the JD Power survey is w@nk.

I would rather have a RWD MGZT than a MY01 - I juct can't get used to the look of the new Scoob, probably grow on me in a few months......maybe not.

Flame proof suit on ready!

Talking

Etheridge-Bird

Keep an eye open for my old MY00 - X877 *** as it is going to live in Lichfield after 30th July. Lady driver.

BTW - I initially shared your MY01 sentiments and cancelled my order last year in favour of the MY00 I got in October. But, with a set of Morettes and a few other tweaks the MY01 is IMHO a much better overall package. Not perfect, just better.

Damm I missed Tiff's reviews of the MG cars.
Will that episode get repeated, maybe on some cable channel.

Also really fell in love with the TVR. It really does look cool.

I belive that the similar looking spolier might have something to do with Peter Stevens, who may have had something to do with designing a rear spolier for some blue jap saloon

Supra thingy was cool, but why no mention of scooby? they mention 300 bhp twin turbo supra but not our little scooby.

Tuscan, what can I say, i WANT one, NOW! it's just lovley, The dash is awesome, it's just so, yummy! Wonder if JT has decided to order one?

Cool

TONY - rare comment mate!

I saw a MY01 at the Stafford Meet last month and it looked better with the twin lamps and a different rear spoiler, I think any 'new' car takes a while to get used to - remember when the Sierra was launched in 1983?????

And.....the original Scoob was not really changed from it's launch in 1993.....

I will look out for your old Scoob in Lichefield - quite a few ScoobyNetters are from that area!

I'm not overly convinced by the looks of them but they are certainly value for money. Engines sound very nice too.

Pity Top Gear can't manage a review these days without attempting to be funny and disappear up their own backside. I excuse VBH her silly comments for being cute but jason barlow needs strangling !!
Tuscan thing was good though and if I had 45K to spare I'd get one. Exotic Preston numberplate

New mini looks great - if only the scoob interior was that good and that well put together. The rattles drive me mad - it rattles even more than the rovers I've had in the past and I bought this new, they were second hand.

Looking forward to 'The fast and the furious' the US box office no1 about street racing
