Question I've got a mortgage with Northern Rock, should I worry?

Hello peeps!

As topic title, I've got a mortgage with NR, is there any reason for me to consider transferring my mortgage to another lender?

First impressions were that there's no reason to worry but seeing all those people queueing for their money on telly does make me worry a bit

What would happen to my mortgage if NR went under?

If NR goes under, your mortgage will get bought by another lender on the same or similar rate. No need to panic at all.

You already have their money, they don't have yours, how could you be in trouble?

I'm not 100% sure how this works however, I'm guessing unless you have a contract for a fixed term at a fixed rate, they could up your mortgage rates?

Could potentially cause a headache for people with NR mortgages and cost them more I would think.
