Mobile downloads, p1ssed off
Now I don't download a lot, the odd track, the odd game, I am on Three and have just upgraded from an N80 to an N95.
I transferred my photos off the old one to the pc.
I rang Three to ask how to transfer the games and 'DCF' protected media, i.e.e the few tracks I have downloaded, short answer, you cant, no way of doing it.
So, you get a phone, you download stuff, you upgrade and you lose the lot, now for me that completely rules out downloading anything off them again.
So beware, from now on I will just rip my cd's to it and download
cracked games, they aren't getting another penny in downloads off me.
N95 is fantastic though.

It is a beautiful wheeze that these companies are trying to install into your brains. They are trying to sell you the idea that you paid to view something, not own it.
Therefore, you paid to view/listen/use it on your old phone, and therefore should want to pay again for your new phone.
Technically in the UK its illegal to tape any TV program and keep the tape. You are only allowed to tape it so that you can view it once and then delete it.
Screw them, never pay for anything that has DRM. itunes is the biggest joke around. They charge more for the downloads than you can buy a lot of the CDs for. After paying more, you are then left with the DRM hassle. They won't even let you redownload stuff you have paid for if you loose it.
The Russian sites are far better. You buy something, and can download it as many times as you want Oh, and they are cheaper too

I can understand losing the games, but why not stick some mp3's on the memory card and then you can keep them no matter what phone you have?

I generally put MP3's on but its the odd track I fancied having heard it on the radio.
I will sell the old phone and list the games and music on it as part of the ad.
I am on a £35 a month tariff, paid £100 for the upgrade as well.
