It's eluded me for a long time, but I think I may just have it....... This morning I got to grips with PAYE, NIC, VAT and Cashflow - I've earned the cake.....

It's a shame that 'taking her to the ivy' isn't a euphemism

yay for the sponge cake! I had chocolate souffle for dessert last night, so I think you should try those next

Our evening was lovely; food was excellent, service impeccable, but maybe it should be at £75 a head. I would definitely recommend it

yup, all in with 12.5% 'optional' tip too

i had fois gras, veal chop, choccy souffle
suz had duck salad and shepherds pie - after which she was soooo stuffed lol
double espresso
2 bottles of water
1 bottle of wine (£30)

i tell you what, the service was soo good that i don't think i want to pay 'optional' service charges any more at other restaurants! So many restaurants stick this on the bill, some in london are 15% too! and hardly any deserve it.
Carluccio's are **** service
zilli restaurants look down their nose at you
oxo tower is just about okay.

Chefdude - Sounds amazing and decent VFM too!
Some very good places down here now but London still kicks butt for the best food in the UK.

Scoobychick - I'm afraid use of the word "surfing" to describe looking at the 'net instead of surfing in the sea, sends me into a bit of a rage.

Last night was my pre anniversary anniversary as it was a year to the day until I marry Mrs Abdabz to be! bless!

Tonight though, I am having the usual Wednesday night boys night in and getting drunk with the lads, watching one or both of the Man U friendlies and then playing wii sports till the wii hours

Wednesdays are cool!

PS - to the OP - Nice one

Take some Kalms and have a lie down then I may have meant surfing in the sea, you're just assuming I meant the net

I'm running through my DVD collection now I have surround sound. Had Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith last night.

Having quiet ones this week as we haven't got our daughter this weekend so need lots of sleep to have maximum energy

Well seeing as you live in N Yorkshire, it's more than possible but in the context of the sentence, I guessed not! I'll get over it though.

Graz -

Right, sun is shining - off on the speedboat for a ski and a picnic lunch on a hidden little beach we know
