Going travelling in Sep, want to avoid monsoons!
So i'm going travelling in September and fancied India, then SE Asia but i'm well aware that it's still monsoon season in india until the end of Sep, and in SE Asia until the end of Oct.
I'll be away for about 3-4 months so don't mind doing them after going somewhere else for a month or so first.
Where's good to go then? Not Europe, been around most of that, not Africa either, been on safari etc already. I'm gonna finish up in Australia to visit famly so not there first either, want to travel steadily West to East.
Errrr...just need interesting places/countries to visit for a month before i hit india really i guess?
I like ancient history/architecture, wildlife, anyting interesting really!
Any ideas welcome, it's got to be 'traveller' cheap/cost as i do have a budget and i want to experience things more naturally rather than the typical tourist side of things you'd see if you stayed in nice hotels etc...
Thanks!

Go straight to NZ and spend a month travelling around both Islands, its a great place full of nice people.
Travel on the ferry through the sounds to Picton (from Wellington), stunning!
Go and see some of the Mauri exhibits, Thermal pools, etc. Go to Mt Cook, Then on down to Queenstown for some extreme sports, stopping on the way at various famous...ish towns.
Go to the "Bay of Islands" in the north and go sailing, you will see all manner of sea creatures and stop at deserted islands to fish for your supper...awesome Visit Keri Keri and see the oldest stone building in NZ.
Learn to scuba dive and go down onto the "Rainbow warrior", I dived there 10 years ago and it was amazing, it must be wicked now
Once you've done all that go straight over to Oz and spend two months travelling around before going to your relatives, it's huge, you'll only see a small bit of it, but there is lots to see and do. With your newly acquired dive ticket go out onto the great barrier reef and then dive on the SS Yongala Do not spend more than a couple of days in Sydney, that's enough to see all the sights, otherwise it's just another big city, full of people who are to busy to care!
Visit your relatives early and then go to India on your way home, try to stop in Bali, its special to
Glad I could help..... now go and change those flight tickets

Hadn't really thought about NZ, will look into it a bit more, cheers.
Already been to OZ a couple of times, been all up the East coast and all down the middle so was wanting to spend some time in in the West before a couple of weeks on the reef and at my families ranch.
Any other cool places to visit anyone?
