It was my misfortune to be in the stinking sess pit that is London again yesterday. It seems everywhere I went there were people pulling laptop sized bags on little trollies. Apart from the frequent ankle crunching from these things what really got my goat is that people with these things seems to just stop to put the tow handle up or down. I got of the train behind some woman and as soon as her feet hit the pavement she stops and starts fiddling about to put the handle up. I nearly walk straight in to the back of her as I expected she would step to the side if she was going to mess with the bag to allow others off, but oh no! And this carried on throught the day at just about every escalator or set of stairs through the tube. Why can't these people take a few steps away from the bloody entrance first?

Its because everyone in London is oblivious to the fact that there are other people around them, nobody has anytime for each other in that damn city. I hate the place with a passion.

"The trolly bag menace" is what we call it.

#1 top of escalators - stop and mess about with the handle whilst people bang into them

best one I saw was they went through the underground barriers, immediately stopped bent down to get the handle. Somebody else went through the barrier and it backed the bag menace so hard on their **** they went flying..

Yay, a grumpy sod thread.

Funny one the other day was a girl (well ok late teens - Blonde WAG type) where the handle on her trolley broke, so she was stooping like the Hunch Back of Notre dam to tow this trolley, high heels, handbag, stupid giant lens glasses....oh what I pay for a heal to break off

Anyhoo, with this new smoking ban, I'd like a law banning smokers from building entrances.

FFS can't even get into some building without having to forcibly push past them. I mean, it's a door, an entrance and exit, if you stand infront of it puffing away, your in the way...MOVE!

Airports are the worst. However, I have got to a point where I just ram the trolley though them....If I bump into someone, and they take exception, it's: "oh so sorry dear, this trolley has a mind of its own, maybe it would be wise in future not to stand smoking infront of a busy entrace next time eh?"
