Need a new fridge freezer.
Ok,
Here's a request to test the ma-hoosive SN knowledge base.
I need a new Fridge freezer.
I currently have a Candy A class one thats a good few years old, but is rubbish. I've had to change the thermostat twice in it and adjusted the dial so much it's unreal and the freezer ices up, the drain hole freezes all the time, there's water all in the bottom and quite frankly it's time to go.
So I'm after a new one, ideally frost free.
I want a make that won't break down and is as reliable as my Scoob.
Ideally no more than 150-160cm tall as my microwave sits on top, 54cm wide and 58-ish deep.
Currently have 72litre freezer and 130 litre fridge.
I'd love a retro one, but a grand for those Smeg ones is taking the p*ss.
Budget not as important as reliability, but I like a good price.
So, let's see what you lot suggest.....
Nige.

Coming up against a bit of a brick wall here.
Seems the only thing frost free in my dimensions (w55cm x d60cm x maxh160cm) is a Beko CA5411FFS.
Anyone got any experience of Beko fridge freezer stuff..? I've had a Beko washer for a few years that seems ok.....
Liebherr seems rather £££ and can't find Bosch or Neff frost free in my sizes.

Miele...
I don't post often but have experience on this and you cannot beat Miele.
Appliances that are DESIGNED to last for 20 years....Bosch, Nef etc don't come close.
Get a Miele and you won't be disappointed.

I've got the Beko CA5411FFS Fridge Freezer. It does the job, although a bit noisey.
I've only had it for 6 months but not had any problems with it, bought it from comet online.
Cheers

Oh dear,
Ok Facts.
Bosch own Neff, Neff do not make Freestanding white boxes.
Miele have the bulk of their machines made for them by.... Liebherr, so go straight to the source in my view. Also Fridges, Freezer, Fridge Freezers tend to last a good while anyway.

For the price of one £1000 Miele or similar make, I can buy four of these things and at a more modern spec every time...
Cheers for your help on this one chaps.

Your gonna struggle to get a decent brand frost free in 55cm wide. Most of the quality brands (Miele Liebherr Bosch Siemens etc etc) are 60cm wide.
Rule of thumb in my buisness is NEVER buy frost free unless it's a quality brand. And generally German. The lesser brands are super unreliable and give you nothing but grief
