way back in the early eighties, my favourite song at the time was , and i'm fairly sure its called this...

i wont let you down, by phd(i think)

now, the geezer who sang it sounded like/was jim diamond. it was a good record, in an early eighties kinda way, and i'm buggered if i can find it anywhere.
ive tried eighties compilation albums, internet searches etc etc.

have i got the right artist name and song title?

i've become obsessed with finding this record mind you, after tracking it down , i'll probably think its a bag of poo when i hear it again

anyone know if this napster type thingy still exists?

any ideas?

Try Grokster/MusicCity/Kazaa -- I've just done a search for 'PHD' and found it. Audiogalaxy have it too.

I had a similar problem a wee while back. I was looking for "einstein-a-gogo". Eventually found it using winMX www.winmx.com great wee free program.

I now have a song in my head from about a year and a half ago. No idea who sang it and can't remember enough to sing it to people so I really am stuffed unless I hear it again

Any mind readers out there?
