Poor Sky Picture Quality
I have noticed that the picture quality through Sky is much worse than the analogue picture on my TV (Panasonic 100Hz CRT). It seems to be on all the channels and basically the pixels look over sized. It is especially noticeable when displaying dark colours. Is it Sky trying to get us to buy HD by making the normal picture carp or is it just the compromise of 1000s of rubbish digital channels?

Sky+ and a Panasonic 100Hz CRT - I can't remember the model type. They are connected by a SCART lead.

the sky plus will be phasing at about 50 to 60 Htz, and your TV is at 100. thats most likey causing the problem....

OK. I'll see if I can set the TV to 50Hz and see what happens.
Thanks

Dish could be slightly misaligned. Lack of data means the interpolation makes the picture look "blocky", like a load of highly-compressed JPEG images.

Are you using a decent SCART lead. Poor quality lead will cause interference.
