cn tower well worth seeing - make sure you stand on the glass and look down! niagra's not too far a drive from toronto - bit like southend with less lights. loads of shopping in yonge street - lots of musuems etc to see. my cousin lives there and we stayed with her for a few days before heading north for a family wedding.
jerome on SNET lives in toronto i think.

I used Globespan and stayed at the Delta Chelsea. Really nice place, just off Yonge Street.
Obviously the CN Tower has to be done, but the girlfriend loved the shopping out there, and you have the hockey hall of fame, Rogers Center and Air Canada Center which have several tours per day.
You can also get a bus tour with a difference, as the bus is one of those things that go in the water. Can't remember what it was called, but leaves from near the bottom of the CN Tower.
I have been to Toronto twice now, and will definately be going back again.

Rose has a few family members coming to TO on thursday and they are staying at the Radisson @ Queens Quay, which is very close to the Lake and Toronto Islands, as well as the Rogers Center, AAC and CN Tower. I'll find out what it's actually like and report back.
Other hotels that spring to mind are:
The Fairmont Royal York
The Royal Kind Edward
Westin Harbour Castle
Those are, I think, on the pricey end of things, there are others, such as the Radisson that are more reasonable, but I cannot remember all of them, mainly as I've never stayed in them.
The bus tour is the Toronto Hippo Tour. It's rather amusing seeing that thing driving around the downtown core.
You may also want to pop onto here, the Toronto Expat Brit Meetup Group. Ask on there where to stay, eat and what to do, they should, hopefully, know
