Default Secure parking in Derby?

Can anyone from the Derby area help? I'll be cycling from Derby to Berwick in April and need somewhere close to the centre of town, that's safe to leave a couple of cars for 5 days.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers for that, I'll get some prices.

Thanks for your help.

Paul.

Just got back from our cycling extravaganza, Parksafe was brilliant, it's like the Alcatraz of the car park world! Each bay has some sort of motion sensor that you have to disable before returning to your car, plus you cannot move in there without some bloke on the tannoy quizzing you on what you're doing.

£100 a week for each car, but only £50 each and well worth it for the peace of mind!

For any Mountain Bikers who are interested out there, if you fancy a challenge then Derby to Berwick is pretty spectacular, see Challenge 2007 for more details and a link to some pics on the home page.

Cheers,

Paul.

We saw a fiesta bounce off a new Audi in the Bold Lane car park one time, and the idiot drove off without stopping - no sooner had we and the other witnesses written our numbers than one of the guards came pounding 'round the corner.

A REALLY good car park that one - you aren't even allowed in without a ticket. If I ever go to watch anything in Derby I always use Bold Lane.

Cheers for the recommendation!

BTW, what are the big yelow arms at the sides of some of the bays for, we were in a bay without these, are they to stop the car doors being opened or something?

think so mate, think they are also alarmed..

I have set the alarms in there a couple of times, by banging my door and returning to the car to get something from the boot..

They are meant to stop you dinging someone elses door when you get out - personally I find them a pain.
