I accepted payment for £1750 via paypal over the weekend, to be fair the guy came and looked at the car, went away and thought about it before bidding so I trusted him. Cant see why you would be able to claim back via paypal after buying a car. Especially if he veiwed the car before buying as its a typical sold as seen second hand car, buyer has no rights etc....

Unless it was a stolen credit card etc then I cant see there being a prob

I no longer use Paypal - too many people I know have been scammed and paypal have been useless as well as expensive.

Yeah I had the same. Some bloke flew over and bought my AE86 for cash after never seeing it apart from in pictures.
I think its safe to say that Irish petrolheads can be trusted in these circumstances.

My brother runs a business from home and sells 99% of his stuff through ebay. Once someone bought something from him, paid by paypal and the item was despatched SPECIAL DELIVERY. The guy received the item and left GOOD feedback. A few months later he opened a paypal dispute and the money was taken back from my brother. My brother had to send his evidence of postage which he had the proper special delivery receipt for which shown it was delivered when tracked on the royal mail website. Paypal decided that the buyer was in the right and he won the case depite even leaving good feedback for the item. Also his email addy no longer worked. If my brother lost a clear cut case like this with paypal then what chance do other sellers have! Its CRAZY!!!!!!!!
However he has to continue using them or he would lose 99% of his sales.
