Default 32" LCD TV - recommendations ?

Hello

I am looking to buy a 32 or maybe 36" LCD TV. Have looked at a few reviews on Amazon but has anyone got any recommendations ? Looking to spend up to 700 quid. Want one with more than one digital input and built in freeview tuner.

Have been also advised to look at Samsung LE32R74BDX, Sony KDL-32V2500 and Panasonic TX-32LXD70.

I think the Toshiba (32WLT66? or the new one) is pretty much universally regarded as one of the best.

Look at the Panasonic TX-32LXD70 or the new Samsungs (LE32R8XXXX I think)

Both have been released over the passed couple of weeks, the Panasonic is getting good reviews.

Bought one of these at the weekend and, at home on a decent feed, it rates an OK. Not as good as the old CRT it replaces, which is annoying considering it's almost twice the price.

What's the issue Olly. Must admit I have a Sharp Aquos 32" but looking to get myself a 37 or 42 and the LG screen looked nice in Comet.

It'll probably be fine on an HD feed, but as I don't have any of those I'm going with standard digital feeds and to be honest it just isn't as crisp as the CRT and the refresh rate does struggle with high speed footage. Things like the menu screens for sky do look nice though!

i got a toshiba 37wlt68 a few months ago and am well pleased with it. i imagine the 32 to be just as good if not a bit sharper picture wise. i agree with kbsub, does take a bit of fiddling to get the picture looking right, out of the box it was dreadfull! looked like everything was turned up full.

After months of fiddling these are the settings I eventually settled with , could be different to someone else's eyes and lighting conditions, this is also through a Sky HD box which produces more contrast than the Sky + box

I have just bought this Toshiba too. Excellent TV and a lot cheaper than some of the other 32" inchs with similar specs.
