Another mobile phone upgrade.....
I've narrowed it down to effectively two models.
The Nokia N95
The Sony Ericsson W850i
Both have functions surplus to requirements
N95 - wifi/GPS (already got a wifi PDA with Tom Tom)
W850i - MP3 player (already got an Ipod)
I currently have a Nokia N70 (which will be for sale ), but I've never really got on with it tbh......
So, any feedback from users of these two phones? Upgrade time in 3 weeks, so plenty of time to research this now....
Who's got em then? ARe they any good? what's rubbish about them?(Yes, the N95 is brand new, but Scoobynet does attract those who chase the latest technology )
Thanks in advance,
DAn

Got a W850i, was quite pleased with it at first but the earpiece is now really buzzy when talking with someone, sounds like it's come loose inside or something, I guess I'll have to send it back

I just changed to the 850i fron an N73. Like you I didnt get on with the Nokia. I have found with the Sony it is better at picking up genuine reception in areas where the Nokia wouldnt (the ability to make and recieve a call proved that it wasnt just the phone being generous). Had no issues with the phone, call quality is spot on and the camera is decent as well (only a 2megapixel but it is a quality 2 megapixel)
Cant comment on the N95, however last 2 phones have been nokias the 6280 and the n73 but both of those seemed to have buggy software and be very slow to operate and it put me off future nokias until I know they have sorted out these flaws

I have an N95, K800i and Samsung Z270v.
OK the N95 is a little chunky, but the amount of stuff it can do is amazing, I've never used the 880i so can't comment.
The N95 has niggles, sure, but aslong as you know your way around a nokia you can get a feel for the phone and once you get that it's stunning.
If you *dont* need a 5mb camera, GPS, etc etc then I reckon the N95 is overkill, but if you want an all in one solution its hard to say no.
I'm very impressed.

Had a play with a n95 yesterday , very nice, not too klunky given all the features... Do I need it all ? Probably not. I'm being drawn to the E65 as a replacement for my N70 at the moment...

I have had the N73 for just under a year and agree the software was terrible. However, there's been a recent firmware upgrade (which you can do yourself) and its made the phone a thousand times better, so I may look at the N95 for my next upgrade, the built in GPS receiver and wi-fi is tempting me as I don't have a PDA.
