explain Life on Mars to me
sorry if this has been covered.
I wacted last episode last night..
now.......
in the first series Sam girl friend had been abducted by a killer, when he went back to '73 he thought he had to track down the kill in that time to get the clues to who it was who killed in 2006.
was this ever sorted as i thought series two still followed this under lying story line?
the end of series two seemed to have nothing to do with the serial killer he was trying to track down!

Can you re-phrase the question in English .... ??

I wear a terrible golfing style Pringle sweater that looks as if it would still fit right into 1973 and the colour of my smart car is based on the type of murky yellow that many Mk1 Ford Cortinas were painted in
Can anyone help explain my behaviour ?

The end of series 1 was sorted in the last episode. He thought saving Annie would send him back but it didn't.
It also had no relation to series 2 and his eventual decision to remain in '73.
See, easy peasy!

Life on Mars = Dr Who + Sweeney
Missed most of it first time round so bought the series one dvds and am on episode six tonight.
Its great it being round Manchester, keep spotting places, one being my father in laws old companies mill building (Lion Mill in Royton). Also, the Police advisor on the series was a copper called Steve Crimmins who I worked for at one point at Greater Manchester Police.

Sorry,
The first episode, sam's girlfriend, Mia, had been taken by a serial killer. then sam got ran over.
he wakes up in '73. the whole of the 1st series, sam is trying to see if he can work out the killer in 2006 from previous killings.
at the end of series 1, Sam learns that his dad was into **** and left him/his mum at a wedding and didn't come back. Sam Tyler the copper in '73.. let his dad 'go'... but he then knew all about what is dad was.
series two starts and no mention of Mia being missing and sam trying to correct the future by finding the killer who took Mia.
anyone else following me or is it the sun on my head again lol

I gave up trying to work out what was going on, decided to just enjoy the series.
And the humour in the DCI's very un-PC attitude.
