Log Cabin
Guys,
Today i purchased this http://www.hotspring.co.uk/products/spas.asp?SpaID=3 & this Wessex Garden Buildings, The Farnham
The plan is to split the Log cabin in two.
Have the spa in one & a sitting area in the other.
Now what i want is to have a 42" Plasma on one of the walls so i can sit & watch the footie
How could i do this with all the condesation going on ?
Would it be feasible ?
The Spa will be situated next to the front so when using it the doors will be open.
Any pointers would be gratefully recieved.
Thanks

You can get waterproof tv's i.e. for bathrooms etc but I'm not sure how big they go...

Just bought and erected one of these,
Solid Sion
Just noticed its gone up by £300 since I bought it, makes a change, they did say it would go up due to timber prices.
Anyway, if you section it off it should be fine, mine now has electrical stuff in it, it seems very dry now I have the shingles on and its all sealed so the cabin on its own is fine.
They generally arent very secure, so I wouldnt really advise putting a grands worth of telly in it unless you can be very sure its in a secure area.
Have you prepared the base and all that, most of the work with mine was putting the electrics in and laying a base, 75cm deep trench across the garden, about 70 ft took some digging (and filling back in), the base is six inches deep, hardcore and sand with 2 ft slabs on top, it has another shed behind it and a path round it, it took a long time and cost about a grand as to keep up with other work I had to get the blokes who were doing the patio to assist.
There is a lot of work in building these, once the base isprepared they go up quickly but then theres stuff like the roof shingles, that took ages and then treating the whole thing with several coats of preservative, plus our garden is bolocksed from the earth being piled up so i have re seeded the garden, much to the delight of the local bird population.
Plus you have the added complication of water and drainage.
Enjoy !

Thanks Jacko.
Its another project so i dont get bored seeing as the house is nearly finished
Base wont be a problem as i am getting the builders to do that next week along with sorting out the electrics.
Thanks for your input.

If you're mounting the TV in the same section as the spa then it would be best to put it some form of vented case with a heated glass front.
That'll save the screen from misting and allow the set to cool efficently.
If you are wanting it in the other compartment it's all about extraction and insulation in the structure.
