Anyone Here Play With Likkle Elfs and
Goblins and Orks and the like??
Last night I went out for a few pints and in the corner some grown men (I use the term loosely!) had some likkle Orks and Gnomes and suchlike on the Tabletop playing some kind of game???????????
These were the geeky looking type, you know - pony tails and goatie fluff on the chin.
Someone said it's WarHammer or something .......... words fail me, could someone PLEASE explain it to me?????

"Someone said it's WarHammer..." and you know enough about it to get the capitalisation right
You really are trolling the bottom of the barrel tonight, Lewis.

PS I worked for Electronic Arts when they released "Space Hulk" - a WarHammer 4000 game for PC... what's your excuse?

My kids have that stuff, bit worried what hanging round the 'Games Workshop' will do to them, they will think older people in there are cool and that this is perfectly acceptable once over 14, it isnt, neither are skull earrings, Heavy Metal, big glasses and lank long hair.
I went to a lads house when at college, he convinced me to try it,I was reluctant as I would rather have been caught bumming him (not really but you get the point) that being caught doing Dungeons and Dragons, I went and thought it couldnt be that bad as he was pretty cool, nothing prepared me for the game, I dont do games and couldnt get the rules so I pissed about, he was the only one their with any sreet cred (apart from his dark secret) and the geeks got very uppity and asked me to leave !

Theres a Space Hulk mod for Dawn of War - I would post pics of my Terminators but they are truly shockingly painted.
This should explain 40K anyway Warhammer 40,000 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Liking the Space Marine Champion.
GW have just released a new Dark Angels Codex and mintures sets.
Haven't played for years but am thinking of starting again locally. Theres a "Starter" 40K game thats a cut down 40K rulebook with Ultramarines and Genestealers (Tyranids now) "Battle For Macragge"
Although PSL posted this as a ****-take I was going to post a thread asking if anyone was or still is into GW.

I haven't played for about 10 years or so now. I was a Space Wolf and Chaos Marines guy.
Still have all my old models and original box sets. Might have to look them out if they're fetching £200 a pop now!

Space Hulk is in demand at the moment. If you have the expansions Deathwing and Genestealer and again complete they can push it over £300 if its "MINT" condition.
I'm not selling mine and most no longer have rules for them. Probably can't use them in game now.
Theres a rumour that a 40K MMO is being made. Doubt it will be out for a few years though.

My young cousin plays it. Harmless fun IMO, and the fact that it requires interaction with other people probably makes it better than watching TV or playing computer games on your own.
In my teens I played the "geeky" games of that generation - Advanced Dungeons and Dragons, RuneQuest, MERP, Traveller etc - and I don't think it's done me or the friends I played with any harm!
Gary.

Look at my generation all playing Pac Man when they were young. If that had any kind of influence then we would all be in darkened rooms listening to repetitive music whilel eating little pills.
What a minute...
