Its crazy that they just up and left, with all the parts, semi-built cars still sitting the way they were

Thats bloody sad I know they wern't the best cars but to just leave them to rot and lay off all those poor sods, just proves how much this country cares.

Nor was "laying off all those poor sods" anything other than the only option.

so whats the deal then if you want one of those shells?? can you buy them cheap from there? could build a mental track car with some of those things!
i only live 30 mins away, but whats the deal? are there people to keep you off or is it ok just to wounder around (seems highly unlikley) looks really interesting! better than a museum.

been looking at the other rover longbridge threads on this site and they are amazing theres even a room full of rover 25 shells with weld in cages ready for action, how sad to think 11years ago we went on trip to the works there for the motor engineering course i was doing.

Intresting to see, after spending 1 and a half years working at nissans plant, i only ever saw about 10% of the place.
i never ever found the test tracks or the place where they dump all the old shells, i did find the carwash at the end that checks the cars for water ingress
