Default Mountain bikers

I'm after some bar ends but due to my shifters and narrow bars, I'm after some that fit into my handlebars. Don't seem to be able to find any....Any ideas? cheers Bob

Cheers. Waiting for a reply from Chainreactions. The shop that got me my last pair shut down.

I think Cane Creek do some "ergo" bar-ends that fit into the end of the bars.

Indeed, here you go.

Might be 90s but it's nice to have them on an evil road climb when a bit of out-of-saddle cranking helps.

I used to have them but find they bugger up my wrists after pronlonged use.

Also not quite got my hands clear of the bars in a tumble a few times with bar ends and had a bit splat.

Not if your serious about racing, have a look at the uci xc boy's and girls, no risers there me thinks.

The point of a barend is to keep your wrist in line with your forearm for greater efficiency whilst climbing, so its more of a race/performance thing really. As a result of the wrist being inline many find them a comfortable position to ride. On the down side, most run them on flat bars which are narrow and make the bike harder to control.

Personnally I race using a carbon riser as I think I gain more from greater control than the increased efficiency the flat plus riser offers, then again I'm no uci wippet .
