Default Is my sister banned from driving?

My sister has been done for speeding twice now, which means she's got 6 points on her licence.

Trouble is she's only been driving for a year and a half. I know that her licence will be taken off her but does anyone know if she'll get banned for a period of time as well or can she just retake or theory and practical straight away?

Cheers

she has a car at the moment which she insured on
when she goes back to having a provisional licence will she not be covered anymore as she is wanting to take the test in her car?

Yes she'll definitely have to inform her insurance and they will probably hike the premium up I'm afraid

Not only for the points on her licence but for now being only a provisional driver.

I belive she can take her test as soon as she gets a new provisional through though.

And don't forget she has to pass the test. Just because she passed last time, that's no guarantee that she'll pass this time. I'd advise her to take some more lessons too in preparation.

Pay a student £300 to say it was them driving at not her, then she won't have to resit another test which is (or so im told) harder than the 1st one

Great idea, add the criminal record of perverting the course of justice to her record and a driving ban will be the last of her worries!
