There are ways of controlling it, with a bit of practice you should be able to burp 'God save the Queen' within a week or so.

Could be a hiatus hernia causing it. Try Peppermint oil to calm it down a bit.

It can also be an early sign of stomach cancer.

It will be nothing more than diet related... Just some pepsid ac type tablet or rennies will calm things down in there.

Anyway, why would anyone want to burp less? I love burping and am the chairman of the World Burp Tennis Organisation...

wwp8, do you rush your meals. This can cause excessive burping. My other half always wolfs his meals down as quick as possible, consequently, he burps and bot burps all day

Google stomach cancer and find a support group or charity. Check out the pre dramatic weight loss, agonising pains and vomiting blood symptoms and look for a symptom of 20 belches + a day... If it is a known symptom then yes you are going to die...
Seriously - try antacids, cut out yeasty acidy food for a couple of weeks and monitor your progress... If the symptoms persist then pop the chemists for a chat... I wouldnt even bother a gp for megabelches, personally...

Also, remember, I am the current burp tennis world champion, but if you wish to turn professional and challenge me for the title, let me know

Comes in a jar, thick honey, you take a couple of spoonfulls 2 - 3 times a day but instructions are on the jar.
Its labelled as "Active Manuka Honey" and is available in different strengths.

First used it after I had food poisoning and now use it whenever I feel off.

Expect to pay around a tenner a jar - It comes from New Zealand as thats the only place in the world that bee's produce it.

But I would get yourself checked out with a doctor as well.
