I have the dubious honour of being asked to be best man again, and am looking to arrange a stag do in Valencia for sometime in June/July.

Has anyone been there? Can anyone recommend any good hotels, located as close to the centre as possible? Any particular recommendations for stuff to do, places to eat, drink etc? The odd strip club recommendation would come in handy too, but the groom is looking for a relatively civilised and classy do

Valencia is a big place, and some of the bigger hotels can be expensive...

i used to stay at the valencia palace in town, its just opposite the the planetarium, & confernce centre...

very nice rooms, and meals wernt too bad, (expense account)

the other hotel was the Sidi Saler, on the sala da playa (sp) penninsua, its the one the england team used when they were out there..

not cheap!!

and out of the way, nice outdoor pool and indoor etc, they run a free bus into town every hour..

when were you thinking of going?

there is a major festival comming up (fireworks) and it gets ectremley busy and booked up in town, not to mention noisy!!!


are you aware of the flight timings too??

if i recall its a 4.30 departure from HR which arrives at 7.30pm, factor in and hour to an hour and a half to reach your hotel... its 9-10pm before your ready to hit the town, saying that they go on well into the night

Cheers Mart. Looking to go June/July - there's supposedly some festival in July I think. Checked out flights, and Easyjet from Gatwick are ok time wise.

Anyone else have any experiences?
