Just thought I'd say how much I enjoyed this series
One of the best things I've seen on TV in ages - and based on a true story too. Had a lump in my throat on a couple of occasions
Hopefully it'll be coming out on DVD so I can watch it all again

This has had to be THE best mini series I have ever seen. BBC Knowledge did a "Making of" at 10pm on sky. It was only on for 1/2 an hour but should have been on for 2hours as there was so much to see. The detail that went into it was awesome, they were cutting up army APC`s to make German tanks with!

i have to agree with every one above. Awesome series, the best Tv in many many years.
it was on over here a couple of months back and was a DO NOT MISS. It must surely clean up at the next Emmys.

Top series. One of those "Im watching xyz" on TV tonight, no matter what else is/was on offer.
The special effects make it possible to make things so realistic these days, that programs like this can be upsetting. Quite how they managed the POW program week before last is beyond me. Kinda turned your stomach
Im also quite sure that even BofB's was toned down for TV. I don't think we will ever see the true horror's of war on TV real or simulated. I expect more in the next few years, which is a good thing, or bad thing, depending how you look at it.
Quite soon, there will be no real accounts of what really went on walking about anymore, so films like Saving Private Ryan and the TV series, Band of Brothers will be the only way people can get anything like the idea of what war is really like.

Looks like I'm not the only one who liked it then
Was definitely "unmissable"
Does anyone know if it is coming out on DVD? I would hope so - surely they wouldn't miss an opportunity like that? This series is what DVD was made for!
