cheapest place for dvd writer
#1
Hey, DVD blanks for less than £5, now I'm very interested!!! Cheapest I've seen is about £25.
When I first started looking at DVD writers they were £19 k, £500 is well cheap.
Cheers Phill C
PS is that a computer based system IDE or SCSI type, or is it like a mini disk player ?

here is what i know,
pioneer is the best, watch for disks best place to go is svp cooms for blanks
the pioneer a03 is probably the best burner at the moment and cost between £400 & £500 depending where you get it from, blank discs will cost between £6 & £7 for decent ones like verbatim, tdk, pioneer and apple (re-branded pioneer) there's cheaper discs available such as infinity and datasafe which you can get for £3.75 but can cause problems
the unit is internal ide

Well that just goes to show how much technology products like this have reduced in price.
I have a couple of CD writers and have found that cheap disks aren't always the best ones. I always use a good brand like Sony or Phillips. The cheap ones tend to fade and become un-readable after a while in the sun (for example)
Thanks for the info, might order one tomorrow, to archive all my work files
