Car lifts?
Does anyone know if it's possible to buy a 2 wheel car lift that I can fit flush in my garage floor?
Am thinking along the lines of 2 pads which you can drive onto, chock the wheels and then lift the car up by some form of hydraulic or electric lift.
thanks

Ah! I see the problem .. I have the same one, though just with a Passat Sport that catches on the ramp. A couple of pieces of 2" plank will let me decrease the ramp angle and get the car on with no problems.
Cooincidentally this is just what I'll be doing tomorrow!

You can get two poster type lifts that can be moved about, very handy if space is tight.
on a similar note heres one reason you dont let a woman drive a car in the workshop...

Depends on your budget & your bodging skills.
If you already have a decent trolley jack then stick one of these on it & recess it into the floor. £60 plus the hire of a kango drill.
Or Screwfix do this for £35.
You could try one of these but you would have to fabricate a wheel holder beam to mount across the arms. 1000kg capacity, max lift 800mm, min height 85mm. £350
Or portable scissor lift 2500kg capacity, max lift 990mm, min height 98mm. £2000

Thanks for the replies.
FLAT ERIC has very similar thoughts to myself, those at least that I can mention on here.
Unfortunately I cannot build a pit as there's a rather nice sewer pipe right in the way. Building some form of hydraulic lift either side of it though ticks all the right boxes for me.
