Default Navman F20 or TomTom One

Which is best - TT1 is £160, Navman £140.
Basically I want a decent satnav for directions and speed cameras, and ideally one I can update by finding stuff on torrentspy, google etc (i.e. free).
No idea on these as never had one and only used one once (the F20) which seemed OK and told me about speed cameras.

Any advice?

the tt 1 is the far superior unit in terms of satnav and things you can do like itinery planning etc, ease of use and loading times but the disadvantage being that it dosnt come with speed cameras preloaded like the f20 (which are old btw), but with the tt1 having 40 quid off you could spend 20 quid getting the camera database from tomtom direct, if you pop into halfords they will let you have a play with both units and you will defiantly prefer the tomtom just cause its 100 times faster and easier to use

I use every sat nav on the market all day everyday and i wouldnt spend my money on anything other than tom tom. Oh and if your really nice to the halfords staff ask them if they have any of the tomtom speed camera scratch card cards (£20) and ask if they can knock any money off them for u and your onto a winner if they say yes or just get an initial database from Pocket GPS World for (£2)

I have a Tom Tom One and found it to be excellent. Never used the F20 so can't comment.

Well, I can step up to the plate here ....

Bought the NavMan F20 on Xmas Eve .... it is £129 from Woolies - the write ups make it by far the better buy of the two (when the TomTom One was £199).

The NavMan didn't even fire up - no internal memory detected 'Return To Dealer' ................ Any company that allows a non-working item out of its factory will not get my money again.

Therefore I consider the NavMan CRAP!

Boxing Day, took NavMan back and got refund ....... TomTom ONE now £159 - bought from Halfrauds and it works as I would wish.

A couple of points though with the TomTom ONE - it needs a wireless bluetooth device to get traffic info and speed camers info ......... which is ****e compared to the NavMan F20 which collects it and displays it (I think).

The TomTom ONE sees some junctions as roundabouts and it takes some getting used to .... I'm still trying to get my head around what it can do - looks good so far

At £160 - it's the TOM TOM ONE!! No Question

TT1 seems the favoured one. I see the scamera database is easy enough to get hold of, I take it I can get maps of France in the same way Tony?
Plus, I can get the TT1 for £144 plus quidco cashback, taking it to less than £140!
