Half price Sky HD boxes

Half price Sky HD boxes
John Lewis are doing a 1/2 price offer on Sky HD this weekend, so it's £150 for a box.
Subscriptions are the same £10/month. For existing subscribers, installation is £60 if it's a replacement or free if you keep your old box as a multi-room subscription at £10/month.
It's not being advertised and you do need to buy something from the AV department to qualify - but the do sell batteries
Been on the verge for ages, so I ordered mine today - installation 1 Dec, then I'll put in a bigger disc ready for all 6 Star Wars films in HD on Jan 1

I don't meant to p*ss on your chips but I was told by the chappy who installed my plasma not to go for the Thomson boxes and wait for the next gen boxes which were better, are these the Thomson ones?
Have thought about SKY HD for a bit but am a bit loathe to give those bloodsuckers another £10 a month on top of what I allready pay as I believe that their customer service is arrogant and poor.

I would guess so as Thomson are the only ones available at the moment
The next version of most technology is better / cheaper, you can wait forever with that attitude....

They come with 160Gb discs, but 80Gb is used by Sky leaving 80 for recording. As the HD content is larger, other forums have observed that 80 just isn't enough and recommend a 500Gb disk, leaving 420Gb for recording
