Default Had a Polish lad scheduled in for interview this morning

After all the advice, some good, some bad, decided to give the chap a chance, he spoke very good English on the phone, sounded promising,
****er never even turned up today

No phone call, nothing

Older man who applied, cancelled his interview this morning "because i never realised the job was part time"

its a good job the 3rd bloke was pretty good

I've met a few Slovakians recently... hard working, nice enough people it would seem. No issues with them really.

Possibly, but from what I have seen of them they are prepared to work pretty damn hard and are honourable people. I do have a lot of respect for the ones I have met - definately here for the right reasons. Ofcourse you do get exceptions but If I had to generalise...

I like most of the Eastern European women I have come accross too!

Refreshing both in terms of looks and personality.

My lodger is from Slovakia. I got him a job working with me doing Marquees and Events and what a great worker ...he just keeps on going till the jobs done and unlike, some of our English workers who just moan about anything for the sake of it.

One of the Slovakians I am friends with got knocked off his bike and flipped over the bonnet when a BMW pulled into him.

What did he do? Thankfully landed on his feet, got up, straightend out his bikes front wheel, refused to accept the money the BMW driver was offering, told the witness who had come over to testify for him if needs be that he was fine and didn't need an ambulance, and raced off on way to work because he didn't want to be late!

He did admit he was probably suffering from a bit of shock though!
