Default How's this for going sideways!

The video shows footage of an Airbus A380 doing crosswind landing tests at Keflavik in Iceland.

Mbl.is - Frétt - Ađflugsćfingar Airbus A380 tókust vel

I haven't seen such extreme sideslip like that since those Boeing 777 and 747 crosswind landing videos.

very impressive for such a massive aircraft though.

Wow! It's not often very windy at Keflavik, despite the exposed location - I've hardy ever had rough landings there. Bizarrely, flying into Reykjavik on a domestic flight always seems to be a lot rougher - I don't know enough about planes or flying to understand why!

Mind you - the last time I flew OUT of Keflavik, it felt pretty choppy! As soon as we left the tarmac, I thought we were going to immediately touch back down!

V impressive.

Does his left wing dip a litttle on take-off? The engine pods look quite close to the ground!

Cant wait to see one in the flesh, wondering whether it will look as majestic as a 747 or just like a big Airbus,
