AV - connecting PC to TV advice pls
I have a [noisy!] PC full of music upstairs in the study. I need to run a stereo audio pair and S-Video [or at worst composite] out the window and down the side of the house to connect to the TV & amp in living room. I will then be able to control i Tunes on the PC as I have a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard.
I can make up the leads, but am having difficulty finding a suitable and cost effective cable for this 15 meter run. I looked here:
6 x Screen Cable
...but that is pricy and black [white would look so much better on a white house!].
Anyone any ideas/suggestions?
Thanks o wise Scoobynet!

Sounds good Andy, esp as I have just fought for two days to install Wi Fi [LAN was off in BIOS ] but I am forever swopping data between PDA, laptop & home PC and dont want another one!
I'm using 2Gb mem stick in my P990 wired to amp to play tracks downstairs now [but it does ruin it all when it rings!]. Wonder if there is an USB port for my Wi Fi receiver on my SKY HD Box???

I wanted an RGB output as S-vid is pants, but can only get component which my TV doesn't support. I also wanted to do it wireless, as the cable runs are a bit lengthy. And had issues with remote control - currently I control via bluetooth, but the range is iffy in my house.
There seems to be hole in the market for a decent all-in-one solution (unless you buy a squeezebox, but it struggles with bandwidth on streaming video). I even started looking into programming a few PIC micro-controllers to do the job although I haven't programmed one since uni so I'm a bit rusty.

Interesting bits of kit Daryl - and my PC has never visited an Apple website EVER Nice to be able to right click on it though
That 'Airport' costs more than my wireless Gateway router itself and doesnt carry video! But I do like the mini mac - would look good in the living room, but it's too pricy.
Thanks for the advice though.

Id look at a VIA Mini-ITX integrated system board and CPU. The cheaper low-end ones are fanless and have integrated video out. An external block-type PSU will also be silent... The other kit depends on your budget and requirement. The cheapest option would be to buy a new fixed disk for your PC upstairs and use the downgrade with the Mini-ITX; better options are a slowly spinning 2.5" notebook fixed disk and a slim optical drive.
