Congrats mate.
go to Pier 39 then onto Alcatraz and finally end up in the chocolate factory if you get the time. Take a look at the mountain of Sealions in the bay at the end of Pier 39 aswell.
There is also a pretty good cigar shop near pier 39 if you are that way inclined.

When you go to Alcatraz, after doing the cell block tour, grab a tour guide when hes on his own and ask him if he can show you under the cell block, if theres only a couple of you they will take you on your own tour of the hidden cells under the cell block where they used to torture prisoners secretly. (this is something they dont advertise)
We did it earlier in the year and as there were just 2 of us he was happy to do it.

no!!! can't believe that!!! MUCH!
went there today, spooky place with the fog rolling off the sea nd the fog horn and sea buoy bells tolling. very interesting tour, they have a new audio tour now and that only started wednesday. well worth the $18.75 each and we were there over 4hrs! can't wait to show you the pix.
over the 30yr history it only housed 1500 inmates and only held approx 200 at a time!!
