Default Hotels - Alton Towers

So the hotels at alton towers are booked up, and the girlfriend would "love" to see the fireworks display happening this weekend.

I'm looking for a nice hotel, modern 3 star plus. Not an old farm house dive that is likely to have had it's furniture in situ since the middle ages.

Any help would be great

You may have to venture outside of Alton.
Nearby Cheadle is nice.

Some suggestions here:

Staffordshire: Bradley in the Moors Bed and Breakfast Cheap Hotel Guest House Accommodation Results Page 2=

I usually stay here:

BED AND BREAKFAST, near ALTON TOWERS, GUEST HOUSE IN CHEADLE, STAFFORDSHIRE BED AND BREAKFAST, BED AND BREAKFAST IN STAFFORDSHIRE, ACCOMMODATION, near, alton, towers, staffordshire, bb, bed, breakfast, cheadle, near alton towers,

Nothing fancy, but cheap, comfortable and run by nice folks. Excellent pub over the park too!!

Hi Alton Towers is in the middle of nowhere so there isn't to many modern hotels close by.

Uttoxeter is about 15 miniutes drive away and there is a premier travel inn.

If the hotel is booked up, then count your blessings. Having just had the privilege of staying there for a sales conference I'm refusing to go back next year.

Bedroom 1 stank of **** and children and had the mankiest bathroom going so insisted on another room. Bedroom 2 had some form of fungal growth going on in the bathroom and again stank of kids. Ended up insisting on having the bathroom cleaned in the third room with the Duty Manager attempting to insist that everything was fine but when questioned as to whether her home looked like this, she clammed up!

What a **** hole. Never again.
