my dads mate has a mondeo st but the tdci version, he bought a chip for it for £400 but has fitted it himself.
i think hes a bit of a prat tbh as i would get a tuning specialist to do it but just wanted to know what you think of it?

If he is adept at this sort of thing then it should be okay. If he wanted a fast car why didn't he buy a fast one in the first place?

it aint his car, its a company car and he knows nothin about cars he tried to say that tmy mates RX8 was only a 1.3 asperated when its not its 2 1.3's strapped together, a rotary engine and it aint asperated its turbo coz its an import. wot a ****!

As for the mondeo, depends on what the chip is meant to do, if it's just got an updated map on it then it's possibly just plug and play so you don't need to do anything with it.

There is nothing to fitting a plug and play chip to a car. If you can change the battery in a remote control you can do it, actually mapping a car is a completely different kettle of fish.
