If you're talking about the edited old ones where they cut the smoking scenes etc, I'd say it's pc madness

Hello

I've just started watching this as my children (6 and 3) are just the right age to appreciate it. I had forgotten how funny they are.

I'm not sure about the politics (and I know the smoking has been removed (sigh)) but if you take it for what it is: Good fun. Then it is a delight to watch.

Steve

Used to love Tom & Jerry. Do they still show them on TV?

My favourite though is Bugs Bunny. Children would not appreciate and not notice some of the humour and the lines in them.

Hello

We watch them on Boomerang (on Sky). They have an hour every morning.

I just bought 5 Laurel and Hardy DVDs from HMV - £1:99 each!!

The oldest film clip is from 1919 I didn't even know they had DVDs back then!!

Laughed so much I cried

Pete you are slacking

Some of the Laurel & Hardy DVD's I have got, date further back than that, 1912 I think is one of the earliest

Absolute classics, part of the lost volumes collections

I cry laughing every time I watch them ( not been watching them since 1912 though)

Thanks 84, sadly I have to work, but hopefully for not too long

I now need to go find the other Tom & Jerry volumes on DVD

same here kids are at an age to appreciate the humour in them, put one on earlier and Andrew (4 years old) was sat chuckling away
