Default freeview boxes...

are they all much of a muchness, or are some better than others, i.e, if the signal is a bit weak they will still produce a half decent pic?

any recomendations?

General consensus over on www.avforums.com is that the bigger the name brand, the worse the box. Humax, Topfield and Fusion are amongst the best out there, Panasonic the worst.

Sagem @ Argos £30 nice and tidy
Digital Fusion £30 also at argos reliable

All depends if you also want to have top up TV too then they prices increase about £10+

We have a ferguson and I have to say it's brilliant and never given any problems.

The father-in-law has a Nokia and the picture quality is worse than his terrestial picture quality. So while he has increased the No of channels he has decreased the quality of the picture, I have lost count of the No of times he has had new sigital aerial leads, new aerial etc etc.
