Default How reliable are BBC website weather forecasts?

Anybody had experience of using the BBC weather website for forecasts? And if so how reliable were they? While everybody else seems to be talking about tropical storms in Wales in the next couple of days the website says sunny intervals 2morrow with no mention of rain... who do I trust ? Got a possible outdoor job there and would rather cancel and re-shedule if it's going to be pissing down!

I find www.weather.co.uk is more accurate.

BBC is fine for me where I live, unless you need to question the exact number of millibars in your kitchen cupboard
I thought the BBCs information was acquired through the met office who tend to do a bit of weather based work from time to time
I will however try them against metcheck and weather.co.uk to compare

If you want to know todays weather then BBC are usually spot on, but so is looking out of the window. If you want to know the weather in 5 days time keep watching BBCs website, it changes eevry single day.

Mmm - still getting mixed forecasts - so will pack all my waterproof clothing and hope the no rain ones are the right ones! (had already looked at weather.co.uk which from my experience rarely seems to agree with the BBC!)

come on even the met get it wrong 60% of the time, we live on a small island and changes are hard to predict, just be prepared!

I always say you cant predict it and you certainly cant change it so live with it!

Yep, I the classic weather prediction has to be "we've had a call from somebody saying there is a hurricane on the way! Don't worry, there's no hurricane tonight." '89 was it

Wake up in the morning to devastation.... and a week off school
