sky broadband
ive spoke to sky regarding their broadband and it seems to good to be true.
they offer 3 packages...from a bad memory
1. 2mb, 40.00 installation fee, free wireless router no monthly bill its free.
2. 8mb. 5.00 installation fee, free wireless router no monthly bills.
3. 15mb, no installation fee, free router again its no monthly bills.
is anybody on it yet and is there a catch. do you have to have any particular sky package.

You have to have Sky TV to have Sky broadband, so it ain't free unfortunately.
If you live in an area that has been LLU'd, then the top package does seem very attractive, depending on their 'fair usage policay'

Sky are ensuring that you are loyal to them and keep paying for their TV subscriptions. It's a customer retention loss leader.
They will offer sky email addresses etc so that its difficult to switch when you get fed up of crap programmes for loads of dosh each month.
