Cool Holiday location???? Im clueless!

Im looking to go abroad in October half-term. The wife and I in the past have either done long-haul hols or stayed in the UK.

I now feel the need for some autumn sun. I dont want anything chavy or a concrete jungle. So any suggestions that has some nice places to visit at a reasonable price.

Ideas on a post card please............

How about Morocco? Flight time of just over 3 hours and I'm fairly sure it would be sunny. They also use GMT, so no jet lag.

Fuerteventura? Very quiet( away from the one main town in the north) , will be warm, empty white sahara sand beaches.

Are you not thinking of Tenereife?

Fuerteventura actually has some reasonably high standard accomodation, good golf courses, and as previously said, miles of empty beach. Stay out of the main German / Brit areas to the north and you'll struggle to see other tourists..... Plus it's close and cheap.

Fuerteventura is cheap, you would need to stay in Caleta as it is the main tourist area with lovely beaches. The nightlife is a bit naff, some good food places but you can guarentee you will be in bed by 2am everynight (not a night club in sight).

Not many places to do shopping and you wont see any lucky lucky men. I would only recommend a week as two weeks you will be bored stiff. It is ok for a relaxing beach holiday if you aint fussy about the surroundings. They only seem to have built decent roads and have nice taxis.
