Question Wildfowlers/Game shooters...

..with the season approaching what are your favourite cartridges for duck/pheasant shooting.i have always used supreme from lyalvale with great effect on pheasants and general game but what would you recommend for duck/geese??

Made by a company called Mammoth - yes they are bloody expensive though 50p each does sound about right but how many do you actually shoot.

Also use the same on foxes

Got the winchesters a few weeks back for foxes and they are very effective on them at close range.Have you tried Eley Alphamax ?

No, not shot much other than clays/pigeons for 6 months and pigeons with the air gun in barns.

I am sure the gun will get some work through the winter though

Remember, if your shooting Ducks over water, get non-toxic cartridges.

Rottweil (yes honest) zero's will take down a Pinkfoot/Greylag with out to much problem (not to much shot to bite down on once you cook it either). For duck I would not be using anything more than a 5 or 6, not unless you want instant pate

But now i am down in OZ, no more wildfowling..
