Who makes these, have tried Winchester Double X Magnum but £12.00/25!

Made by a company called Mammoth - yes they are bloody expensive though 50p each does sound about right but how many do you actually shoot.

Also use the same on foxes

Got the winchesters a few weeks back for foxes and they are very effective on them at close range.Have you tried Eley Alphamax ?

No, not shot much other than clays/pigeons for 6 months and pigeons with the air gun in barns.

I am sure the gun will get some work through the winter though

Not done anything apart from clays with my new guns (inherited)

Remember, if your shooting Ducks over water, get non-toxic cartridges.

Rottweil (yes honest) zero's will take down a Pinkfoot/Greylag with out to much problem (not to much shot to bite down on once you cook it either). For duck I would not be using anything more than a 5 or 6, not unless you want instant pate :D

But now i am down in OZ, no more wildfowling..

Not shot for years, may take it up again
