Lighters on Planes?
In the wee hours of the morrow, I fly off to Palma and as a smoker am planning on taking my zippo lighter with me.
I can't seem to find anything on the Manchester Airport or Airline websites to tell me I can't bring my combustable device on board in my pocket and wondered if anyone here can advise me?
If I have to put it in the suitcase, will the temp in the hold damage the fluid?
Any knowledge welcomed...
I wont be bringing my semtex on board thats going in the hold

Lighters are a no-no anywhere, as far as I can tell feom the BAA website.
Best take a box of matches and buy a disposable one there...
Or give up smoking fast

Just buy one out there with the money you'll save on buying a cheap pack of ****!

My missus got stopped on an internal flight from Birmingham to Aberdeen due to her compact being potentially dangerous. Obviously the mirror could be used to slice somebody, and as for the powder..........
She had to post it home from the airport and they would not let her take it thorugh.
If make up is dangerous, Zippo is a definite NO!
To be honest, I thought lighters were banned from hand luggage before the new rules were brought in.

Nice... I havent flown since for over 17 years... the last plane I caught was powered by zippo lighters, so I wasnt sure...
I will leave the zippo at home and use a magnifying glass pointing at the sun to set fire to the plane then, no worries
